Dr. Mansi Munshi Girme is a Radiation Oncologist and Cancer Genetic Specialist practicing at Ruby Hall Clinic.
She pursued her post graduate specialization with an M.D degree from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where she received a gold medal in M.D Radiation Oncology and is also the recipient of the prestigious Agarwal Gold Medal. While at Tata Memorial she also trained in clinical cancer genetics under the guidance of Professor Rajiv Sarin at the Sarin Lab.
Her career goals are to provide pragmatic and comprehensive treatment to cancer patients using an evidence based approach, exceptional doctor-patient communication and a focus on quality of life.
She trained extensively on Truebeam TM and Tomotherapy LINACs while at TMH; and has a special interest in gynecological malignancy, prostate cancer, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and cardiac sparing radiotherapy techniques for breast cancer. She also has various research presentations and publications at both the national and international level and is involved in teaching regularly.
Though her core competency and training is in Radiation Oncology, something which is very close to her heart is the Cancer Genetic Clinic (CGC) she started at RHC Cancer Centre in January 2018 which was the first CGC of its kind the city of Pune. Here, she sees individuals suspected or known to have hereditary cancer syndromes (BRCA for example) and provides genetic counselling, testing and cancer risk reduction management.
